Watersports Equipment Selection Guide

Choose watersports gear for the activity, riders, and boat setup you actually plan to use. Towable tubes, tow ropes, life jackets, air pumps, and dockside inflatables have different jobs. Compare the exact model's limits and instructions rather than treating similar-looking products as interchangeable.

Check both rider count and combined weight

The Full Throttle Wake Shocker two-rider tube lists a maximum combined weight of 340 pounds, comfort handles, body pads, and boarding-assist straps. The Full Throttle Mega Enforcer three-rider tube lists a maximum combined weight of 510 pounds. Check rider restrictions, riding positions, inflation, and towing instructions for the exact tube. Deflated dimensions are not inflated riding dimensions.

Match the rope to the towing activity

The Full Throttle two-rider tow rope lists a 60-foot length, 2,375-pound minimum tensile strength, and a maximum rider weight of 340 pounds for two riders. A rope's tensile strength is not its allowable rider weight. Do not assume a two-rider rope suits a three-rider tube, or that ski, wakeboard, and tube ropes are interchangeable. Confirm the required rope specification, connections, and boat attachment with the equipment manufacturers before purchase.

Select life jackets by wearer and activity

The Full Throttle Child Rapid-Dry life jacket lists a 33–55-pound wearer range, a front zipper, waist belts, and a leg strap. Check the exact jacket's label, fitting directions, and activity restrictions. Adult, child, and infant size names alone do not establish fit, and a label's weight range does not replace a fit check. Do not assume every vest is suitable for towing or high-impact activities.

Check pump pressure, valves, and power

The Rule ID20 inflator/deflator lists 12V power, battery clips, multiple nozzle options, and a maximum current draw of 25 amps. Verify the inflatable's valve and required pressure against the pump's specifications and instructions. A nozzle fitting the valve does not establish that a pump can reach or control the required pressure, especially when comparing low-pressure inflatables with high-pressure equipment.

Keep towables, bumpers, and flotation distinct

Inflatable construction does not make an item suitable for towing or personal flotation. Boat bumpers are protective accessories, not towable tubes or life jackets. For ballast equipment, confirm exact boat fit and the vessel manufacturer's loading and installation restrictions; an accessory's listed ballast capacity is not permission to add that load to any boat.

Review the complete setup

Check whether ropes, pumps, adapters, repair items, and attachment hardware are included or sold separately. Inspect equipment before use and follow the boat and equipment manufacturers' operating instructions. Use individual product pages for current availability and full specifications. This is buying guidance, not a complete operating or safety checklist.
